The short rule
If you can earn money or receive another benefit from a recommendation, say so clearly where people will notice before acting. The disclosure must travel with the endorsement and fit the channel.
Copy partners may use
Social post: “I’m a Relay partner and may earn a commission if you purchase through this link.”
Article or newsletter: “Disclosure: I participate in the Relay Partner Network and may receive a commission from eligible purchases or referrals.”
Professional introduction: “For transparency, I have a paid referral relationship with Foster Business Works if this becomes an eligible client.”
Video: State the relationship aloud near the recommendation and display a readable on-screen disclosure.
What not to use alone
Do not rely only on vague labels such as “collab,” “ambassador,” “thanks,” a referral code without explanation, a disclosure hidden among hashtags, a profile-page statement, or a link to this page.
Claims and limitations
A disclosure does not cure a false or unsupported claim. Use current approved resources, make only accurate statements, share genuine experiences, and include important offer limitations where omission would mislead.
